DIY: Headband & HairBow Holder

Hey Guys!

After losing many hairbows and not having a proper place to keep Jordyn’s headbands I took to  to get some inspiration for a DIY headband & hairbow holder and I came up with this.

Here are the materials I used:

Excuse the this chunk ripped out

I thought it would be better on the bare cardboard so I tried to rip the label off and um, yeah that’s about all that came off. No worries though it was actually better to keep the label on.

I bought this at Wal Mart for just under $3

I used a sponge brush to brush a coat of Mod Podge on my canister and smoothed my scrapbook paper on it while I was working my way around. I used a credit card to make sure it was perfectly smoothed and to get out any wrinkles or air bubbles.

I wanted to jazz up the design a little so I used two different colors and two different sizes of ribbon to line the top and bottom of my holder

To finish it off I add a a few jewels I had on hand but were purchased at Wal Mart awhile ago in a set for a few dollars, I used hot glue to set them to the ribbon.

Top opening, where you can drop in your hairbows :)

Here is a look at the bottom jewels

Here is the finished product once again

Ta-da!!! This project was easy peasy and anyone can do it. I only had to spend about $3 for the Mod Podge everything else I had already.

Recap:

I used 2 pieces of scrapbook paper, although this print wasn’t my first choice it’s still cute **the paper I really wanted to use I only had one sheet :(

I used one coat of Mod Podge to adhere the scrapbook paper to the canister and one coat onto to seal it and give it a finished shiny look. I let it dry for about 30 min.

I added ribbon and jewels ** optional** for an extra touch using hot glue

That’s it, I hope this help guys!

Enjoy
