Day 12: Something I Miss – 31 Day Blog Challenge #31daymarch

Hola :)   Day 12: Something That You Miss I miss all the family member's I have lost, my Aunt Nellie who passed away from Cancer in 2003. She was my favorite aunt when I was in college I would stop by her house super early in the morning because I knew she would be up and we would always go have breakfast together at McDonald's that was her very place  :) I also miss my grandma she passed away in 2007 and I miss when I was a little girl and would spend the weekends at her house and play in her jewelry and she would make homemade biscuits for breakfast from scratch :) I am just grateful for all the great fun times I had with each of them and the awesome memories and pictures I have of them now :) … [Read more...]

Hey guys :)   Day 11: Last book I read Funny this should be today's topic because I just recently finished reading a book called A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forest, and I wrote up a review on it, you can check that out here! It is a book about a young 17 year old girl named Sofia Claremont who was abducted and held as a slave by the most powerful vampire coven in the world. She starts to find herself falling for the Prince of the Coven Derek Novak. Do they stay together? You'll have to read the book to find out but I will say it is not your typical love story, it's a good read with very great descriptive details.   What's the last book you read? … [Read more...]

Day 10: Daily Routine – 31 Day Blog Challenge #31daymarch

Hey Guys, This post is super late :( But it's never too late right!?!     Day 10: Daily Routine I'll share my weekday daily routine My alarm goes off at 6am but I snooze it till 6:20am :) Then I drag myself out of bed and get dressed for work. The kids have their own alarm clocks in their rooms and they dress themselves so I don't have to worry about them yay me! Next we are out the door by 7:10am, I drop the kids off at school around the coroner from the house and I am on my way to work. I start work at 8am, I sit at my desk and type until 1pm then it's lunch time woo-hoo. Sometimes I'll run errands like go to wal mart or the bank but if I have nothing to do I'll sit in my car and take a nap, or read, or crochet, or play games on my phone or talk to the hubby if he is available. 2pm lunch break is over *insert tears* then I sit back at my desk and type some more until 5pm then I'm outta there! If the hubby hasn't already picked the kids up then … [Read more...]

Hiya! Day 9: What's on your life/bucket list? Well to be completely honest I've never made a bucket list or really thought much of it, but I do know that I want to go to Costa Rica (among many other places) one day and hopefully even one day live abroad. That probably won't happen until after my kids are grown and me and the hubs are retired. I really think I watch way too much House Hunters International on HGTV : /   Enjoy! … [Read more...]

A Girl and Her Band: Review

Hey one is missing?!?!!

Hey Guys, So I was lucky enough to receive a couple of items from an awesome company called A Girl and Her Band for review. But first let me introduce you all to A Girl and Her Band... Who are they? A creative company founded by 4 moms who believe in empowering and encouraging girls everywhere! They are proudly supporting 12 non-profit organizations in their 12 months of giving program. What do they do? They create the most amazing headbands, hair ties and tees that come in cool spunky designs. The materials used in the hair accessories are moisture wicking and antimicrobial, they are also machine washable! We were sent a 3 pack of hair ties Why I love em? The hair ties come in cool prints and colors that matched with sooo many of Jordyn's outfits. I also love that the ties don't have any metal or glue holding them together, which for us means no hair ripping out when it's time to take the hair tie out. These hair ties are perfect for curly girls! … [Read more...]

A Shade Of Vampire: Book Review

0

Hey Guys, Fact about Tiffany: I am a reader, yep it's true I love to curl up with a good book like ALL the time. I've been into reading since I was kid, back then it used to be Goosebumps and Sweet Valley High books :) Now as an adult I enjoy all kinds of genres and books. Now you may have noticed that I've never once posted a book review on my site, why you might ask? Well because most books I read aren't really approperiate for a review on my family friendly site, not that I am reading bad stuff but they are more adult as in topics, language and so on.  Also I never wanted to get too much into reviewing books because it just opens the door for everyone to throw a book your way to review and I'm actually quite picky in what I read, I have to be interested to spend my time reading a book and then reviewing it on my site. So with that said I was recently contacted by an author, Bella Forest to review her debut book, A Shade Of Vampire. Page Count: 150 Release Date: … [Read more...]

Day 8: Pet Peeves – 31 Day Blog Challenge #31daymarch

31-day-blog-challenge-march-2013-1

Well Hello there :) Today's topic is a fun one: Pet Peeves Let's see I have a lot because I am working with little patience here so here are just a few that really bug me! Smacking on food or otherwise known as chewing with your mouth open Talking on a cell phone in the movie theater, um excuse sir but I didn't just pay $11.50 to hear you on the phone. GO OUTSIDE!!!!!! People who don't say thank you when you hold the door open for them. It just makes me want to go back in time and let the door hit you in the face instead. This one really irks me: When people write checks at the grocery store and have NOTHING filled out on the check at all until you get your total. Seriously?!?! You knew you were going to ABC Store and what date you were going, you could have had that part filled out already along with your signature. Besides who writes checks anymore anyways?!?! Okay I am getting all hot and bothered just thinking about these, so I'll stop while I'm ahead! So … [Read more...]

Day 7: Dream Job – 31 Blog Challenge #31daymarch

Hello friends :)   Day 7: What is your dream job? Well this might surprise you but my ultimate dream job would be to either be a Coroner or a Crime Scene Analyst. I am currently employed as a Business Analyst and I am taking my first steps to my dream job this year. I am going back to my local Community College starting in the summer to take classes to get my certificate in Criminal Justice and then my next step will be my Associates of Science in Criminal Justice and then apply for jobs. I will be doing my schooling very slowly, as in like one or two classes at a time a semester. What makes it so hard is that I make a really good income doing what I am doing now and when I switch career's I am going to have to take a pay cut so my plan is to get as much education as I can so I don't have to start at the bottom and then pay off most if not all of my debt so that my family can be financially prepared for the pay cut. So all in due time I would say in the next 5 … [Read more...]

Day 6: Your Last Random Act of Kindness – 31 Day Blog Challenge #31daymarch

Hey Guys! Today topic is ~ Your Last Random Act of Kindness   Okay this is going to sound really bad but I had a hard time thinking of something worthy to write about. I mean I do nice things daily but not worth mentioning so I would have to say my last act of random kindness that was meaningful was when I was sitting as a passenger in my friend's car while she ran inside a store and I was just about to dig into my sandwich from my lunch from earlier when I noticed a homeless man standing outside of the store talking to himself. I called him over and asked if he wanted my sandwich, he never stopped talking to himself (I mean full on convo with himself) to answer my question but he came over and took my sandwich and immediately ate it in about 1 min. tops!   Ejnoy! … [Read more...]

DIY: Jewelry Display

SAM_3788

Hola! So over the years I've managed to build up a little collection of fashion jewelry and lately I've noticed that I seem to have run out of space to store my necklaces in my jewelry box. All of my necklaces were stuffed inside and were getting all tangled and I found myself not even wearing half of them anymore because they weren't easily accessible. So the other day while in Wal Mart I decided I would pick up a few supplies to make myself a proper jewelry display. I purchased a cork board for $6.49   And a pack of 50 of these screw-in hooks for $2.49   I placed 13 hooks into my board and then hung my necklaces on them   Ta-Da all finished, this cork board was awesome because it came with 3M foam double sided sticky tabs so I hung this board in my closet so when I am getting dressed or picking out my outfit I can clearly see which necklace would match! I left myself a little room in the middle for more hooks, I love this … [Read more...]
