My cousin was gifted 5 dining room chairs and they weren't in the best condition, she wanted me to help her reupholster them and I happily agreed!Here is the chair before:Pretty Stained The original material on the chairs was a beige brush suedeWe went shopping for new fabric at Joann's and since she has an active 2 year old she opted for a vinyl material that can easily be wiped off.Here is the process:I unscrewed the the padded part from the frame of the chair cut out enough vinyl fabric to cover and then stapled the vinyl material over and screwed the padded part back onto the chair frameHere is the finished project:I used just under 2 yards of vinyl fabric and she spent a total of $53 for the fabric, a heavy duty staple gun and extra staples.A quick and simple fix to give the chairs a new look and new life!Here is the table with the chair all put togetherMy next project is to re-stain her table legs to match the chairs (That will be at a later date and another post)I picked … [Read more...]
